Festival Mission & Objective
In our fast-paced world, time is a precious commodity. To harness it effectively, condensed experiences are gaining traction. Just as T20 cricket delivers thrilling action in a shorter format, Short Films are rising in popularity, offering succinct yet potent narratives tailored to audiences with limited time or attention spans.
At the International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF), our mission is to champion the art of short filmmaking. We provide a dynamic platform that fosters creativity, celebrates diversity, and rewards excellence in storytelling. Our aim is to curate a diverse selection of compelling short films, showcasing the talents of both emerging and established filmmakers. Through transcending cultural boundaries, we aim to unite audiences with captivating narratives and fresh perspectives.
IKSFF is more than a festival; it's a vibrant community of filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts. We promote collaboration, innovation, and the exploration of new frontiers in short filmmaking. Our vision is to expand our influence, advocating for diversity, inclusivity, and artistic freedom. We aspire to be a catalyst for positive change in cinema, enriching culture and society through the power of short films.
