The International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF) 2026 concluded successfully, marking yet another milestone in our journey of celebrating independent cinema from across the globe. With immense gratitude to filmmakers, jury members, partners, and audiences worldwide, we now look forward to the next edition — IKSFF 2027.
Over the years, IKSFF has evolved into a trusted international platform for short films, documentaries, music videos, and experimental storytelling. The festival continues to foster creative exchange by bringing together filmmakers, producers, critics, and cinephiles under one cinematic umbrella.
IKSFF 2027 aims to build on this legacy with an even stronger global presence, enhanced programming, and a renewed commitment to original voices and bold narratives. Rooted in Kolkata’s rich cultural heritage and driven by a global outlook, the festival remains dedicated to showcasing stories that matter.

FESTIVAL MISSION & OBJECTIVE
In our fast-paced world, time is a precious commodity. Condensed experiences are gaining traction to harness it effectively. Just as T20 cricket delivers thrilling action in a shorter format, Short Films are rising in popularity, offering succinct yet potent narratives tailored to audiences with limited time or attention spans.
At the International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF), our mission is to champion the art of short filmmaking. We provide a dynamic platform that fosters creativity, celebrates diversity, and rewards excellence in storytelling. Our aim is to curate a diverse selection of compelling short films, showcasing the talents of both emerging and established filmmakers. Through transcending cultural boundaries, we aim to unite audiences with captivating narratives and fresh perspectives.
IKSFF is more than a festival; it's a vibrant community of filmmakers, industry professionals, and film enthusiasts. CineBridge connects independent filmmakers with producers, production houses, and investors, offering creators the chance to sell their films, pitch new ideas, and build lasting collaborations. For industry professionals, it’s a direct gateway to fresh and original content.
